Something to Think About
R.B.WORDS – VOLUMBE 27 – NUMBER 12 – CHRISTMAS 2014
It has been said:
God’s glory now, is kindled gentler than low candlelight
Under the rafters of a barn:
Eternal peace is sleeping in the hay,
And Wisdom’s born in secret in a straw-roofed stable.
-Thomas Merton: CAROL
To each and every one of my Beloved Readers of RBWORDS, I wish a blessed and holy Christmas. You will be remembered fondly at Mass on Christmas Day.
R. B. Williams, O.P.
Schedules and Events – The past three weeks have been a kind of blur because I was on the road preaching Advent Parish Missions in New Orleans, La, Springfield, Ky, and Rowena, Tx. All three missions were successful. In case you didn’t know, just before Thanksgiving, I published, at long last, a collection of my Sunday homilies for all three “cycles” of the year under the title of “My Sunday Best.” It is available at Amazon.com. I will be here in Houston for Christmas, but January will be busy with a retreat for seminarians of the Galveston-Houston archdiocese, two baptisms of great grandnieces (one in Silver Spring, MD and one in Natchitoches, La), presentations on Dominican government to our novices in Irving, Tx, and my own personal retreat in Tucson, Az. Keep it all in your prayers please. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
