Something to Think About
IT HAS BEEN SAID: “And Joseph too went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David that is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.” [Luke 2:3-4]]
“God’s very nature is goodness, goodness is by definition self-giving, and the most perfect goodness gave himself to creatures in the most perfect way, ‘uniting to himself created nature personally: the Word of God taking on soul and flesh.’”
St. Thomas Aquinas, ST. III, Q. 1, Art. 1
SCHEDULES AND EVENTS –
I will celebrate Christmas here in Lubbock. A few days later, I will travel to Lindsay, TX, north of Ft. Worth, to help celebrate a wedding. Soon after that I will travel to my hometown of Natchitoches, LA, to preside at a graveside service for the cremains of my brother-in-law who had previously given his body to the medical school in Shreveport upon his death. After that I will be in Lubbock until February, assisting at a couple of rural parishes on weekends.
On Christmas Day I will hold in gratitude as I celebrate Mass all of my Beloved Readers of this newsletter. I pray you will all have a blessed Christmas celebration and a Happy, Healthy New Year 2019. The next issue of this newsletter will begin Volume 31!
